About Us:
We are a nurturing and vibrant nursery, offering high-quality care and early learning for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Our setting is built on a strong ethos of learning through play, creativity, and exploration, guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Open 51 weeks a year from 7:30am to 6:30pm, we are proud to offer flexible childcare that supports local families.
The Role:
As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can thrive. You will also mentor and develop the team to consistently deliver high standards of care and education.
Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting the smooth running of daily operations across the nursery
- Leading and inspiring staff, promoting best practice and professional development
- Ensuring full compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and health and safety standards
- Contributing to planning and delivering an engaging, child-centred curriculum
- Acting as a key person for allocated children, observing, assessing, and supporting their development
- Building positive relationships with parents and carers through regular communication
- Assisting with recruitment, rota management, and performance targets for the setting
About You:
- Level 3 qualification (or above) in Childcare – essential
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early years safeguarding requirements
- Previous experience in a leadership or senior practitioner role within an early years setting
- Confident leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- A genuine passion for working with young children and helping them reach their full potential
